G4S announces offer to acquire ArmorGroup International plc

ArmorGroup is a leading provider of defensive, protective security services to national governments, multinational corporations and international peace and security agencies operating in hazardous environments. It has approximately 8,500 employees and 38 registered offices in 27 countries.

The transaction, which has been recommended unanimously by the ArmorGroup board, is subject to acceptance by ArmorGroup shareholders. They will receive a formal offer document within the next 28 days and we expect to secure the necessary acceptances over the next few months.

As this is a public offer for a UK plc, there are strict rules concerning the level of information which can be made available on the transaction during the offer period.

However, we will keep you updated on the progress of the transaction in due course.
