Date: December 2007
G4S is looking to reacquire prison firm Global Solutions in a deal worth around £350m, The Telegraph has reported.
The security giant is thought to be among several companies bidding for Global Solutions, which operates in a number of Britain’s prisons and police custody areas.
Private equity firm Cognetas appointed investment bank UBS to carry out a strategic review of the company earlier this year but, according to The Telegraph, the credit crunch forced delays.
Cognetas acquired Global Solutions from the Danish wing of G4S – Group 4 Falk – three years ago.
Nobody from G4S was available for comment.
